SELECTMEN’S MINUTES
Date: APRIL 22, 2015
I. OPEN MEETING
Brenda Clark opened the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
A. ROLL CALL
Brenda Clark, Charles Leighton, Donald Carroll, Priscilla Dorman, and Danny Withee were present.
Upon motion by Priscilla Dorman, seconded by Charles Leighton, it was unanimously voted to enter into Executive Session at 6:00 p.m. per request of the Etna Fire Chief per 405 (6) (D), Labor negotiations.
Upon motion by Danny Withee, seconded by Charles Leighton, it was unanimously voted to take no action at this time.
B. MINUTES OF THE MEETING
1. Approve April 8, 2015 Meeting Minutes
Upon motion by Danny Withee, seconded by Charles Leighton, it was unanimously voted to approve the April 8th 2015 Meeting minutes with the correction of “sheriff” spelling.
C. QUIT CLAIM DEEDS
None.
D. WARRANT
1. Advantage Payroll Warrant #22
Upon motion by Don Carroll, seconded by Danny Withee, it was unanimously voted to approve Payroll Warrant #22.
2. Expenditures #28 & 29
Upon motion by Charles Leighton, seconded by Priscilla Dorman, it was unanimously voted to approve AP Warrant #28.
Upon motion by Don Carroll, seconded by Brenda Clark, it was unanimously voted to approve AP Warrant # 29.
E. BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Nothing.
II. OLD BUSINESS
1 .Fire Station / Library Complex door repair/replace Update
The new door has been ordered with the safety glass insert, the same style door that is there presently.
2. Computer Repair Update;
The new server computer unit has been built and installed for a total of $2,062.00, almost $1,000 less then quoted.

K. PARKS & RECREATION We are searching for a new parks and rec director.
L. PLANNING BOARD Nothing.
M. PLUMBING INSPECTOR Nothing.
N. RECYCLING & SOLID WASTE COLLECTION Additional bins have been delivered and are at a cost of $7.00 each.
O. ROAD COMMISSIONER William Barriault was present and reported that Kelly Merrill has started doing some grading on the bad spots, and pot holes are being filled. There was discussion on which road should be worked on this year, Mt. Pleasant, or Coboro Road. Barriault felt that Mt. Pleasant is in worse condition and the Coboro Road can be looked at next year. Barriault also stated he has received paving estimates from Lane Construction - $148,000, B & B - $108,000, and Pikes estimate has not come in yet. It was noted that the road would have to be ground and start over. Barriault will remove the posting on the roads around May 15th. Barriault also informed the Board that there is an issue on Loon Cove. A culvert has collapsed. Barriault estimates the repair between $2,000 and $3,000 and 2 days of work. Consensus of the Board was “safe and passable”.
P. STATE LEGISLATIVE CORRESPONDANCE Nothing.
Q. TREASURER Diane noted we are in need of a cover for the Town Report, the Selectmen’s Letter, and the signed and approved Warrant Articles.
R. WELFARE DIRECTOR Nothing.
S. OTHER
Don Carroll asked about the estimate for the safety railing at the dam location. Charles Leighton stated the cost for the building and installing of the railing would be approximately $750.00
Danny Withee also noted that there may be some leaking under the rip rap still taking place.
