I. OPEN MEETING
The meeting was called to order by Charles Leighton leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
A. ROLL CALL
Charles Leighton, Millard Butler, Brenda Clark, George Hockstadter, and Danny Withee were present.
B. MINUTES OF THE MEETING
1. Approve December 13, 2017 Meeting Minutes
Upon motion by George Hockstadter, seconded by Danny Withee, it was unanimously voted to approve the December 13, 2017 Meeting Minutes.
C. QUIT CLAIM DEEDS
1. Advantage Payroll Warrant # 13
Upon motion by Brenda Clark, seconded by Millard Butler, it was unanimously voted to approve Payroll Warrant #13.
2. Expenditures # 15
In discussion, George Hockstadter noted the increased Electric Bill to the Salt and Sand shed. In discussion last year, it was agreed that Rick Faloon would pay anything over $200.00 a month.
Consensus of the Board is that this bill is approved at $216.74
Upon motion by Danny Withee, seconded by Brenda Clark, it was unanimously voted to approve AP Warrant #15.
E. BOARD OF ASSESSORS
II. OLD BUSINESS
1 Continued Elementary School Discussion/Update
Diane informed the Board that she has not received the “scope of work” from Mr. Brasslett yet.
Diane also questioned the roofs at the School and the Fire Station Library Complex being in need of being roof raked, at least the edges. Brenda Clark offered to contact someone to look at this.
2. Tasker Property / Update
Al Tempesta had no update and Diane reported that she has left a message for Mike Ogden notifying him of the Town’s concerns. (no response from message)
III. NEW BUSINESS
ADDED: Perc Contract
Consensus of the Board was to sign the contract that had been voted on by the Town at the 2017 Annual Town Meeting.

J. MEETINGHOUSE Brenda Clark reported the floor around the pulpit area is weak and the trustees have given him permission to repair it.
K. PARKS & RECREATION Nothing.
L. PLANNING BOARD Nothing.
M. PLUMBING INSPECTOR Nothing.
N. RECYCLING & SOLID WASTE COLLECTION Contract was signed.
O. ROAD COMMISSIONER Not Present.
P. STATE LEGISLATIVE CORRESPONDANCE George reported no updates.
Q. TREASURER Diane reported the 1099 information has been reported to payroll.
R. WELFARE DIRECTOR Nothing.
S. OTHER Nothing.
V. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Doug Elliot – stated the roads are the best they have been since 2009.
Pete Evans – stated the roads are nice.
James Pimentel – stated the Wolfboro Road is great and crossing into Newport the roads are a mess.
Brent Dorman – stated that the dirt roads should not be over salted because it creates a mess in the spring.
Danielle Withee – stated Stetson roads are good, slow travel, but not the 6 inches of snow that has been before.
Leslie Merrill – stated the crew is trying hard to keep up and a log is being kept. Drivers are in this town a lot of the time.
Jodi Lyford – stated her husband plows for Bangor and has 1 hour to get there when called in.
V. SELECTMEN COMMENTS
Brenda Clark questioned if one of the Plow truck drivers has to come from Waterville or Burnham?? Brenda stated that they are doing a good job, but concerns of the distance of travel to get here and get started.
George Hockstadter stated it takes time to learn, he was disappointed the first storm, but it has gotten much better.
Both Charles Leighton and Brenda Clark agreed that the bus turn-=a-arounds are kept clear.
Danny Withee –stated that 1/3 of the sand has been used and that more salt has been ordered.
